How To Become A Czech Citizen

The Czech Citizenship by Investment  really is an excellent chance for non-EU entrepreneurs, business people and investors to take a huge step in the right direction regarding their financial future. If these would-be Warren Buffets thought they were successful running their businesses in the Middle East, Africa and Asia, being able to broaden their potential market to include the EU and eventually the US will take that business and turn it stratospheric.

While to the uninitiated €200,000 for a passport to another country might seem expensive and pointless, to anyone who knows the first thing about CBI understands just what a game-changer an EU passport is to any aspiring 3rd world business person.

The Czech Republic Citizenship by Investment program marks an excellent opportunity for an ambitious non-EU entrepreneur with aspirations of taking their business to a whole other level to receive what will prove to be the one tool they rely on the most – an EU passport.

  • EU Freedom – As a Czech citizen and EU passport holder, an investor has the freedom to live, work and indeed make their home in any European Union country without restrictions on time and with the same rights as a citizen born to that country.

Key Advantages Of Owning Property, Residing & Working In The Czech Republic

Living Standard/Quality Of Life

The people of the Czech Republic enjoy both a high living standard and a rich quality of life. Even when it was under communist rule and known as Czechoslovakia, Western tourists would still flock to visit Prague, one of the great cities of Europe.  Now the Soviets are long gone, the Czech Republic has that laid-back Prague vibe all over the country.

While geographically the Czech Republic is right in the center of Europe, its population have more in common with that of Spain or Portugal in their mentality. While neighboring Germany  live by the motto of “Live To Work”, Spaniards and Czechs are more in the “Work To Live” camp, where work – although still very important – is secondary to living and enjoying life and spending quality time with friends and family.

Investing & Opening A Business In The Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is looking to expand its economy, and it is currently one of Europe’s most attractive jurisdictions for holding companies and outside investment. The Czech Republic  offers extremely attractive rates of corporate and private taxation. Also, If you are looking to employ non-EU workers, the Czech Republic  has excellent residence conditions for non-EU citizens.

That said, if you are an entrepreneur and you really want to get into the “good books” of your new country, opening a business and employing Czech locals would grant you plenty of benefits, concessions and tax breaks.

About The Czech Republic

The Czech Republic is a highly developed country with an advanced, high income social market economy. In a typical European social model, it is a welfare state with universal health care and tuition-free university education.

The Czech Republic ranks 13th in the UN inequality-adjusted HDI (Human Development Index) and 14th in the World Bank Human Capital Index ahead of countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom and France. It ranks as the eleventh safest and most peaceful country in the world.

Nazi & Soviet Occupation

Prague was always a hub for artists to meet and share ideas. Hitler – a failed painter himself – took a shine to Czechoslovakia in 1938 and annexed it, his armies marching through unopposed. Czechoslovakia was liberated in 1945 by the Soviet Union and the United States. However, Czechoslovakia began to fall increasingly under Russian influence.

The Communist Party of Czechoslovakia won a plurality in the 1946 elections and established a one-party communist state under Soviet influence. The Czechoslovakian people, increasing dissatisfied with the soviet regime culminated in an uprising in 1968 that became known as the Prague Spring, which ended when a Soviet-led invasion crushed it.

Czechoslovakia remained occupied until the 1989 Velvet Revolution, which peacefully ended communist rule and re-established democracy and a market economy.

Tourism

Historically, much of the tourism to the Czech Republic centered around Prague, one of the most famous cities in the world, not just Europe. Prague’s fame was born during the 1500s, when the protestants were taking over much of Europe, and destroying all works of art and science in their wake.

Holy Roman Emperor Rudolf II, the King of Bohemia, chose Prague as his home. He lived in the Prague Castle, where his court welcomed astrologers and magicians, scientists, musicians, and artists. Prague soon became known as the capital of European culture.

Even today there are examples everywhere in Prague of great architecture, beautiful statues, and art galleries and museums just bursting with culture. However if culture isn’t quiet your thing, Prague has a bustling nightlife with a club scene that rivals anything in Europe.

The Czech Republic’s Coronavirus Record

At the time of writing, the world is in the grip of its worst pandemic for 100 years. The Coronavirus has effected virtually every country on the planet to some degree.

It is interesting to see that while the UK, Italy, Spain and France have suffered horrendously with Covid-19, the Czech Republic has one of the best records of repelling and controlling the notorious Coronavirus in all of Europe. Right now, the Czech Republic has had just 8,123 cases, of which only 280 had proven fatal.

These figures indicate that the general standards of hygiene and health among Czech Republic is exceptionally high to start with, and that the standard of healthcare and the quality of their first response teams is excellent.
